Being organised is very important for those of you suffering with mental health and I am not just saying this because I love stationary… I will find any reason to buy a new notebook or diary.
So why is being organised important to those with mental health and me?
Appointments
If you are anything like me you will have appointments here there and everywhere. I have doctors appointments, counselling appointments and psychiatrist appointments. So I need to keep organised so I know whether I am coming or going, So I have to make sure I keep myself all organised by having diaries coming out of my ears… it’s not that I have a stationary problem or anything!
Posts
Of course with doing this blog I have to make sure that I know what I want to post because as soon as something pops into my head it out again. So I have to make sure I have lots of little notebooks/diaries lying around to jot down all of these ideas. I just don’t want to forget something which could help all of you going through mental health.
Work
For those who work shifts like I do it is a nightmare remembering what shift you are on, whether it is an early or a late shift. I always forget, I am so bad at trying to remember things. So I will need to make sure I have all of shift written down so if I do forget I can get my diary out and I know exactly where I am.
Friends/Family
I am always making plans with family and friends but always pulling out last-minute because I have double booked or just because I have completely forgot. So I make sure that I always write these down so I am not just sitting at home on my own and it is a good way to track what anxiety you have come over. It is always a great way to make sure you are having some time out with other people, as if you are like me I just prefer to be in my comfort zone.
Lifestyle Balance
The most important part of being organised is to make sure to have the right lifestyle balance with time for yourself, socialising and of course working.. don’t think I could miss this one out with all the time we spend with our colleagues and at our offices etc. This is very important when it comes to your mental health and this is something I do struggle with as everything comes before me, but I am working on this every day to try to get better.
What do you find helpful when it comes to being more organised?
